Fun with Misery
What is it about the web that brings out the desire to torment the people who annoy you? Wandering the web today, I happened across what has to be one of the greatest Drupal modules ever created.
Misery, inspired by vBulletin’s “Miserable Users” hack, is designed to randomly annoy, frustrate, and otherwise make online life difficult for problem users by causing problematic site behavior that only the targeted user experiences. These behaviors include random redirects, page delays, access denied errors, broken submission forms, and even browser crashes.
Now sure… a part of me is saying “Well, that’s just childish. Just ban problem users and be done with it.”. Another part (the more sadistic part, that spent far too much time as a gaming web forum/site moderator) is screaming “That is SO awesome!”.
