Learning to love WordPress
For a long time, I was one of those people who liked doing things the hard way when it came to websites. I loathe WYSIWYG editors, and hand-code just about everything. I enjoy a challenge, and after having had a hand in writing an entire CMS from the ground up, moving to something that’s already been built almost seems like cheating.
After spending some time working with WordPress, I’m rethinking that opinion. Having the bulk of the site ready to go, I have to admit, gives me the freedom to expand on what’s already there, rather than reinventing the wheel, so to speak (even if reinventing the wheel can be fun sometimes ^_^). Check out my first real WordPress plugin.
